Fulneck Golf Course Local Rules

Out of Bounds (Rule 18.2)

  • In or over the ditch to the right of the second tee identified by white posts and beyond the line of wire and white posts to the right of the second fairway.
  • Beyond any boundary fence or wall.
  • Beyond the line of white posts or white line painted tree trunks to the right of the third hole.
  • In or over the ditch on the left of the fourth hole and identified by white posts.
  • Beyond the fence identified by white posts at the rear of the fourth green.
  • In or over the beck to the left of the fifth, sixth, seventh and eight holes.
  • Beyond the line of white markers at the pathway exit from the fifth hole.

    • Penelty Areas

  • The following are LATERAL PENALTY AREAS identified by red posts.
  • The ditches to the rear of the first and ninth greens.
  • All other ditches identified by yellow posts are PENALTY AREAS

    • overhead cables (rule 14.6)

    If a players ball strikes the overhead cables on the sixth hole, the player MUST disregard that stroke, abandon the ball and without penalty, play another ball from as near to the spot from which the original ball was played in accordance with the rule 14.6.

    protection of young trees

    Identified by stakes – If such a tree interferes with a player’s ball, stance or the area of their intended swing, the ball MUST be lifted without penalty and dropped in accordance with the procedure prescribed in rule 24-2b. The ball may be cleaned when lifted.
